Replace Transaction

Replace Transaction is a method that enables users to replace an unconfirmed transaction with an updated version that includes a higher gas cost, facilitating quicker confirmation.

When your transaction has been in a Processing status for more than 24 hours, it will automatically change to Pending status. At this point, you can use a higher gas cost to replace the original transaction with a new one.

How to Replace Transaction

STEP1: Access Transaction History

Navigate to the Transaction History page, where you can view all your transactions and their current status.

STEP2: Locate the Pending Transaction

Hover over the transaction record that shows a "Pending" status. You'll see additional information about the transaction and available actions.

A transaction enters Pending status when it has remained in processing status for more than 24 hours.

STEP3: Initiate Replace Action

Click the "Go to Replace" button that appears when hovering over the pending transaction. This will open the Replace Transaction modal.

STEP4: Review and Confirm Replacement

In the Replace modal, review the transaction details carefully and click the "Replace Transaction" button to submit a new transaction with a higher gas cost.

  • Time of original transaction

  • Transaction type

  • Chain submitted

  • Original transaction hash

  • Nonce

  • New gas cost (automatically adjusted higher)

A higher gas cost will be set by default. You can review and adjust it in your wallet if necessary. However, the transaction may become pending again if the updated gas cost is still insufficient.
